Title:
HUMAN UBIQUITIN-CONJUGATING ENZYME GENE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH099975
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain the subject new enzyme gene coding for a human ubiquitin- conjugating enzyme having a specific amino acid sequence, and to be used for e.g. producing enzymes useful for diagnosing various diseases such as cancer and metastasis and screening the therapeutic agents and preventives therefor.

This new gene contains a base sequence coding for an amino acid sequence of the formula, being useful for e.g. manifesting and detecting the human ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme protein valuable for diagnosing various diseases involving human ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, morbid state elucidation of these diseases, e.g. diagnosis cancer and metastasis, and for screening or evaluation of the therapeutic agents and preventives for cancer and metastasis. This gene is obtained by the following process: a reverse transcriptase is made to act on a human fetus brain poly(A)+RNA to synthesize cDNA, which is, in turn, amplified by PCR process using a pair of primers consisting of a fragment of this gene followed by conducting a cloning.
