To provide a humidifier capable of humidification with electrolyzed water and driving a humidification filter reasonably.
The humidifier 1 includes, in a casing 10, the humidification filter 17 which is put in a wetted state with the electrolyzed water in an electrolyzed water generating part 22, and a blower 16 generating an air flow passing through the humidification filter 17. A filter support H arranged for vertical movement in the casing 10 is connected to a gate 28, which opens and closes a water supply tank containing space 26, through a link mechanism 33. The endless-belt like humidification filter 17 and an electrode 20 for electrolyzed water generation, which are held by the filter support H, move down and soak the lower ends in the water inside an electrolyzed water generating tank 21 when the gate 28 is pulled down, and they move up and take the lower ends out of the inside of the electrolyzed water generating tank 21 when the gate 28 is pulled up. A humidification filter drive motor 78 for moving the humidification filter 17 is mounted to the filter support H.
