PURPOSE: To enable to improve humidifying capacity and desired dimensions of a humidifier by determining a specified ratio of L1 to L2 when distances between a core member surrounded by hollow perforated members and an outer shell are set at L1 in the long side direction and L2 in the short side direction.
CONSTITUTION: When distances between a core member 6 surrounded by hollow perforated members 1 and partition plates 5, and an outer shell are settled as L1 in the long side direction and L2 in the short side direction, desired dimensions of a humidifier are obtained by determining an aspect ratio of the core member 6 in such that a ratio of L1 to L2 is set at 0.85L2<L1<0.95L2. Therefore, by changing the shape of the core member, it is possible to obtain a cross sectional shape nearly equal to a shape of an attaching part of a humidifier and a ratio of an effective humidifying area is made large and humidifying capacity is improved.
