The humidifying apparatus 1 includes an apparatus body 2, a caster 100, a water receiving tray 6, and an impeding part 300. The apparatus body 2 has an opening opened from the apparatus body 2 toward the outside. The caster 100 is disposed on the bottom of the apparatus body 2 having a bottom face 2c, and rotates freely relative to the apparatus body 2. The water receiving tray 6 is fitted to be drawable in the opening of the apparatus body 2. The water receiving tray 6 is supplied with water from the outside thereof. The impeding part 300 impedes the rotation of the caster 100 when the water receiving tray 6 is fitted in the opening.
