To provide a refrigerator for restraining drying vegetables in a vegetable storage vessel, cooling these vegetables, and humidifying these vegetables by melting of frost sticking to a cooler by solving a problem of becoming a state of humidifying little the vegetables in this vegetable storage vessel when cooling the vegetables in the vegetable storage vessel by mainly circulating cold air to the periphery of this vegetable storage vessel by constituting so that an upper surface opening of the vegetable storage vessel is almost closed in an ordinary cooling operation cycle by arranging the vegetable storage vessel having the upper surface opening in a vegetable room.

The inside of the vegetable storage vessel is mainly a cooling system cooled from the periphery, and is provided with a humidity adjusting member having one surface exposed to a cold air passage, and having the other surface faced to the upper surface opening of the vegetable storage vessel. An electric air blower is rotated in the inverse direction of the cooling operation cycle so that air humidified by melting of the frost sticking to the cooler flows to the humidity adjusting member.
