To provide a humidity-conditioning building material exhibiting excellent humidity conditioning performance for preventing dew condensation of a window and additionally provided with heating and cooling functions without causing a problem such as a crack in a hardened body, and to provide its manufacturing method.
A carbonated hardened body is obtained by applying carbonation treatment to an inorganic material (preferably containing a porous material) comprising calcium silicate as a main component. In the method of manufacturing the humidity-conditioning building material, the humidity-conditioning building material has at least part of a tubular molding embedded in the carbonated hardened body (preferably a fluid flows in the tubular molding to cool or heat the carbonated hardened body), and at least part of the tubular molding is embedded and shaped in the inorganic material comprising calcium silicate as a main component. Carbonation treatment is then performed at a room temperature up to 150°C.
