The humidity conditioning substance for facing material, and facing material using the same comprise an urethane resin (U) formed by reacting the following water absorptive resin dispersion (D) and a polyisocyanate compound (P) and a material having an air cleaning function. The water absorptive resin dispersion (D): it is obtained by dispersing the water absorptive resin (B) polymerized in a polyol (A) or its water absorptive gel into (A).
