To provide a humidity controller which allows the temperature to rise speedily and to give the uniform distribution of the temperature.
The humidity controller is constituted so that a wire net (metal base material) 1 capable of generating heat by conducting electricity is worked into a corrugated shape and, between the waves, a flat plate 3 which has a moisture adsorbent layer on the surface and has electrical insulation property is inserted, the wire net (metal base material) 1 is made non-energized during the moisture adsorption and the moisture is desorbed by conducting electricity. Thus, as the metal base material 1 having a small heat capacity and a high heat conductivity is used, the temperature rising speed increases. Further, because the wire net 1 is in close proximity to the moisture adsorption layer on the surface of the flat plate 3 inserted between the waves, heat is conducted quickly due to radiation and heat conduction, desorption of moisture is also performed quickly and as a result, the humidity controller having a high efficiency of the moisture desorption can be obtained.
