Abstract:

To prevent freezing and dew formation on an air passage at low outside air temperature.

This humidity controller is provided with a refrigerant circuit (50) which is formed by interconnecting a compressor (53), a main electric expansion valve (55) and first and second adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) in which adsorbent for adsorbing moisture in the air is supported on top of them, by a refrigerant pipe (57), and which performs a vapor compression refrigerating cycle by making a refrigerant reversibly circulate within the refrigerant pipe (57). By reversibly switching refrigerant circulation in the refrigerant circuit (50), adsorption operation and regeneration operation of the adsorbent are alternately performed by the two adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52), so as to control the humidity of air passing through the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52). The refrigerant circuit (50) is provided with: an auxiliary heat exchanger (61) provided on the upstream side of regenerated air of the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) and heating regenerated air to be supplied to the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) beforehand; and a refrigerant control means (62) for controlling the inflow amount of the refrigerant to the auxiliary heat exchanger (61).
