A foot switch mechanism is applied for smoothing vertical motion of a bar of the hurdle for track and field games, and a means to eliminate wire in a mechanism from the foot switch to a fitting pin is provided. An inclination of 45 degrees is imparted to a base part so that a fulcrum position of falling down of the base is constant, and a polygon shape is imparted so as to prevent concentration of stress in an inclination corner of 45 degrees at the time of contacting with the ground.
