To drive a car by efficiently supplying energy stored in a capacitor to a motor.
The hybrid car is provided with a motor 2, a power supply apparatus 1 having a built-in secondary battery 5, and a generator 3 for charging the secondary battery 5 of the power supply apparatus 1. The power supply apparatus 1 is provided with a capacitor 6 having capacity enough to supply power to the motor 2 to accelerate the vehicle, a capacitor switch 8 for controlling power supply from the capacitor 6 to the motor 2, a battery switch 9 for controlling power supply from the secondary battery 5 to the motor 2, a control unit 10 for controlling the battery switch 9 and the capacitor switch 8, and a temperature detecting unit 11 for detecting a temperature. If the temperature to be detected by the temperature detecting unit 11 is lower than a set temperature, the control unit 10 turns off the battery switch 9 to interrupt the power supply from the secondary battery 5 to the motor 2, and turns on the capacitor switch 8 to supply the power from the capacitor 6 to the motor 2, thereby causing the vehicle to accelerate.
