An engine 14 is installed in the rear of upper machinery 2; power distribution devices 15 for distributing engine power into a hydraulic pump 16 and a generator motor 17 are arranged on the right and left sides of the engine 14, respectively; a storage device 20 and an inverter/converter 19 are juxtaposed on the right and left sides in the rear of a cabin 10 and ahead of the engine 14; and a partition wall W, which is formed in an L-shape in a plane view and used for defining an engine room 13, is composed of respective casings for the storage device 20, the inverter/converter 19 and the power distribution device 15.
