Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid power supply system capable of surely starting/stopping a fuel cell system even if the fuel cell system is located under any environment.SOLUTION: A hybrid power supply system includes: a fuel cell system for generating power by supplying hydrogen that may become a fuel from a hydrogen cylinder 2 to a fuel cell stack 3; and an air cell 17 in which a negative electrode metal and a positive electrode material are immersed in an electrolyte and which is discharged by oxidization reaction of the negative electrode metal. Power required for starting/stopping the fuel cell system is supplied by discharging the air cell 17 and an oxide of the negative electrode metal of the air cell 17 produced as a result is reduced in a negative electrode metal reduction chamber 18 while utilizing hydrogen from the hydrogen cylinder 2 and burning heat obtained by burning hydrogen in a burning chamber 19, thereby charging the air cell 17. Furthermore, in the case where the electrolyte of the air cell 17 is decreased rather than a predetermined liquid amount threshold, the electrolyte is complemented by supplying pure water stored in a pure water tank 6 to the air cell 17.
