Abstract:

To provide a stepping motor capable of outputting a higher torque while having the same outer diameter dimension and suppressing vibration and noise.

A hybrid stepping motor 10 includes a rotor 30 on an outer circumferential surface of which a plurality of rotor small teeth 32 are arranged at an equal pitch, and a stator 40 having a plurality of stator poles 43 to which a plurality of stator small teeth 42 are arranged so as to face the outer circumferential surface of the rotor 30 with a gap therebetween. The stator small teeth 42 each have a predetermined stator tooth thickness Ws and are arranged at a predetermined stator tooth pitch Ps. The rotor small teeth 32 each have a predetermined rotor tooth thickness Wr and are arranged at a predetermined rotor tooth pitch Pr. An opposite area is a difference between an area of an attraction pole and an area of a repulsion pole of the stator small tooth 42 and the rotor small tooth 32, and has a value between the maximum value in a parameter space of a dimension ratio of a constitution of the stator 40 and/or the rotor 30 and a threshold of the maximum value.
