Abstract:

To expand a travel area by a motor travel mode under traveling, and to improve the collection amount of regeneration energy, and improve in fuel consumption.

A hybrid vehicle control device includes: an engine ENG; a motor generator MG; a primary pulley 31; a secondary pulley 32; a first clutch CL 1; a second clutch CL 2; and an engine start control means (Fig.6). When starting the engine from a motor travel mode, the engine start control means (Fig.6) concludes the first clutch CL 1, while opening the second clutch CL 2 and separating the primary pulley 31 and the secondary pulley 32 from the motor generator MG, starts the engine ENG into operation using energy accumulated in the primary pulley 31 and the secondary pulley 32.
