Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an MG function as a power generator and thus enable reduction of engine speed even when input electric power of a battery is restricted largely.SOLUTION: A control device 20 is for a hybrid vehicle 100 that includes an engine 58, first and second MGs 52, 54 and a battery 10 and makes the first MG 52 function as a power generator when stopping the engine 58 to lower the speed of the engine 58. The control device includes: an engine stop prediction section 42 for predicting stopping of the engine 58; and a battery input/output electric power limit value calculation section 40 for calculating an input electric power limit value Win(t) and an output electric power limit value Wout(t) relative to the battery 10. When an absolute value of the input electric power limit value Win(t) is lower than a first threshold value and stop of the engine 58 immediately after the present moment is predicted, if an absolute value of the output electric power limit value Wout(t) exceeds a second threshold value, electric power is output from the battery 10 only for a predetermined time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
