Abstract:
Provided is a battery output control system (51) for a hybrid vehicle that can be driven by a series mode, the battery output control system (51) comprising a battery upper-limit output value setting unit (54) provided for a hybrid control unit (20), the battery upper-limit output value setting unit (54) suppressing a battery upper-limit output value Pmax to a reference value P1 in the series mode and performing output suppression mitigation control for setting the battery upper-limit output value Pmax higher than the reference value P1 for a predetermined time in response to a request for high power. The battery upper-limit output value setting unit (54) suppresses the battery upper-limit output value Pmax greater at high vehicle speeds than at low vehicle speeds and sets the battery upper-limit output value Pmax higher than the reference value P1 for a long period at high vehicle speed than at low vehicle speeds.
