Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure distance which a hybrid vehicle, which can change a mode and travel, can travel only by drive force of a rotation electrical machinery after a mode is changed from a CS mode to a CD mode on the basis of intent of a driver.SOLUTION: A control device selects one of a CD (Charge Depleting) mode for consuming SOC of a power storage device and a CS (Charge Sustaining) mode for maintaining the SOC in a predetermined range for traveling. The CS mode includes a first CS mode which is selected based on intent of a driver, and a second CS mode which is selected when the SOC is reduced to a predetermined amount. The predetermined range in the first CS mode is narrower than that in the second CS mode.
