To provide a drive device for a hybrid vehicle capable of reducing load applied to an electric motor and rattle noise when a parking brake is released.
The drive device 1 for the hybrid vehicle is provided with a first planetary gear mechanism 20 to which an output shaft 2a of an internal combustion engine 2 and an output shaft 3a of a first MG 3 are connected and power transmitted from a ring gear 23 to a driving wheel 8 is output; a second planetary gear mechanism 30 having a sun gear 31 to which an output shaft 4a of a second MG 4 is connected, a ring gear 33 connected to the ring gear 23 of the first planetary gear mechanism 20 and a carrier 34 mounted to a case 12; and a parking gear 37 provided so as to rotate integrally with the respective ring gears 23, 33 and engaged with a parking pole 11a. The carrier 34 of the second planetary gear mechanism 30 is mounted to the case 12 via a torque limiter mechanism 40 for allowing the rotation of the carrier 34 when torque larger than predetermined torque is applied to the carrier 34.
