To provide a hybrid vehicle driving equipment which has a simple, reliable, and easy-to-maintain structure and can produce strong backward torque while restricting the reverse rotation of an engine.
A first rotary machine 110 electromagnetically transmits torque from an output shaft 2 of an engine to a vehicle driving shaft 115 and converts all or part of engine torque to electric energy. A second rotary machine 120 has an electromagnetic transmission and reception of torque with the vehicle driving shaft 115. Furthermore, a rotation constraint mechanism 101 constrains a flywheel 102. Due to this structure, the first rotary machine 110 can output enough backward torque to the vehicle driving shaft 115 even during the backward traveling and there is no reverse rotation of an engine.
