Abstract:

To provide a hybrid vehicle which has a power distribution unit connected to an engine and a motor and miniaturizes an electric motor to realize higher output of the engine.

A first motor generator MG1 is connected to a power distribution unit (a second planetary gear device 14) via a reduction gear (a first planetary gear device 12), and the torque generated by the first motor generator MG1 is reduced compared with the power of an engine 6 connected to the power distribution unit in comparison with the case not provided with the reduction gear, and the first motor generator MG1 can be miniaturized. Therefore, even when the engine output is increased, the first motor generator MG1 can be relatively miniaturized. In other words, the first motor generator MG1 can be miniaturized to realize higher output of the engine 6, and favorably mounted on a vehicle.
