To provide a hybrid vehicle capable of evading that the vehicle can not travel due to the lowering of the amount of residual fuel and the SOC (State Of Charge) of a battery.
A power output device 102 includes an engine and a motor generator as a power source. A battery unit BU supplies a power to the power output device 102, and it is charged by a power to be applied from a commercial power source 55 outside the vehicle to a connector 50. When a power is supplied to a coil 53, a lock device 52 operates by receiving a magnetic force to be generated by the coil 53, and locks the connection status of the connector 50 and a plug 51 for charging. The controller 60 supplies currents to the coil 53 when residual fuel and the SOC of the battery unit BU are small under the charging of the battery unit BU by the commercial power source 55.
