Abstract:

To smoothly stop an internal combustion engine even if the stoppage of the internal combustion engine is required during the control of the start of the internal combustion engine.

When the stoppage of an engine is required while starting the control of the engine is conducted (S110), a rate limit Tlim is set based on the number of starting rotations for stop control, and basic torque during stoppage Tsb is set based on the present number of rotations of engine Ne. Larger torque between torque obtained by subtracting the rate limit Tlim from the previous torque command of a motor MG1 (previous Tm1*) and the basic torque during stoppage Tsb is set at the torque command Tm1* to be output from the motor MG1 to control the motor MG1 (S170-S230). Thus, the number of rotations of the engine Ne is smoothly reduced, and the engine can be accurately stopped at a target stopping position without generating a shock.
