Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel transmission torque to a drive wheel side during engine start-up even when there is abnormality on a motor.SOLUTION: A vehicle comprises: a power division mechanism including an engine, first and second motors, and a planetary gear device including a sun gear and a ring gear which are connected respectively to output shafts of the first and second motors, and a planetary carrier coupled to an output shaft of the engine; first and second invertors for controlling power feeding to the first and second motors; and a controller for controlling the first and second motors and output of the engine. The controller executes a specific control containing a first control (S114) for cranking the engine by the first motor when there is abnormality on the second motor (S101) and a second control (S113) for controlling an upper arm in each phase or a lower arm in each phase of the second inverter to an on-state, for starting up the engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
