Abstract:
To provide a hybrid vehicle capable of performing both of EV travel and HV travel while satisfying an exhaust regulation when passing through an exhaust regulation region.SOLUTION: A control device of a PHV (PLUG-IN HYBRID VEHICLE) vehicle 100 makes a catalyst into an active state by traveling the PHV vehicle 100 in a CW mode before the PHV vehicle 100 enters an object regulation region R101 when it is determined that the PHV vehicle 100 cannot pass through the object regulation region R101 included in a travel planned route TR by only travel in a CD mode. The PHV vehicle 100 is made to enter the object regulation region R101 while maintaining the catalyst in the active state by continuing the travel in the CW mode. When the PHV vehicle 100 reaches a mode switching position P2, a travel mode of the PHV vehicle 100 is switched from the CW mode to the CD mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
