Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact caused by engagement of a brake provided in a generator.
SOLUTION: This hybrid vehicle has an engine 11, a generator 16, and a drive output shaft 31 connected to each gear element of a planetary gear unit 13, and is driven by the output from an engine and an electric motor 25 connected to the drive output shaft 31. This vehicle can be driven by switching between a non-generator mode which stops the generator 16 by a brake B and a generator mode which releases the brake B, so that a generator revolution speed is reduced to near zero before the brake B is engaged. Accordingly, engagement impact is reduced. At the same time, output torque of the electric motor 25 is adjusted to correct torque variation during the control operation of the generator revolution speed, and also an upper limit is provided for a change rate of the generator revolution speed to reduce negative effects on the engine 11.
