Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle capable of reducing its manufacturing cost, lowering the noises of a radio and efficiently cooling a power plant by shortening the wiring length of the power plant and simplifying wiring construction. SOLUTION: The hybrid vehicle comprises an engine 4 for driving front wheels 2, 2, an electric motor 5 for driving rear wheels 3, 3, a storage battery device 14 for storing electric power to be supplied to the electric motor 5, a power drive unit 13 for controlling the operation of the electric motor 5, and an air cooling system 18 for cooling the power drive unit 13. The storage battery device 14, the power drive unit 13 and the electric motor 5 are arranged in the order of the front side in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle 1 and placed on a floor in a room 11. The cooling system 18 is placed on the floor in the room 11, with its suction ports 20a, 21a, 22a arranged in front of the storage battery device 14.
