In a drive shaft 25 in an input side of a continuously variable transmission 30, an engine 1 is connected, also a motor/generator 28 is connected through a winding transmission device 26 constituting a reduction gear as a power transmitting means. Power transmission ratio of the winding transmission device 26 is selected so as to coincide a high efficient rotational region of the motor/generator 28 with a use rotational region of the engine 1, also at the highest rotational speed in the high efficient rotational region of the motor/ generator 28, a rotational speed of the drive shaft 25 is selected so as to be the highest use rotational speed or less of the engine.
