Abstract:

To provide a hybrid windmill structure continuously taking out wind energy at a windmill peripheral speed ratio from the vicinity of zero to a high value, and also to provide a structure hardly causing fatigue failure caused by application of bending stress to the blade of the hybrid windmill, with respect to fluctuating wind power.

This hybrid windmill is configured by modifying and combining the blades of a Savonius windmill and a Gyro-Mill type windmill. Thereby, the lift and drag of wind are simultaneously taken out, and the wind energy is stably taken out with respect to the wide range of the peripheral speed ratio. The shape of the blade of the hybrid windmill in the direction of a vertical axis is formed into the catenary curve of a Darius windmill and both the ends of the blades 18, 19 are supported by upper and lower arms 13, thereby forming the structure hardly causing application of the bending stress to the blades 18, 19.
