Abstract:

To control variations in the fuel injection amount based on a change of viscosity of operating oil.

In a hydraulic actuation type electronic controlled fuel injection device l, the viscosity μ of operating oil is detected by an oil viscosity detecting means, and the reference target valve opening time Tinj BASE of a solenoid valve 19 of a unit injector 2 is corrected on the basis of the detected value. Lubricating oil for lubricating an engine is used for operating oil, the oil viscosity detecting means is composed of an oil pump 54 for supplying lubricating oil to respective sliding parts of the engine, and an oil pressure sensor 56 for detecting pump discharge pressure Po. Respective sliding parts are taken as one throttle 55, the viscosity μ of the operating oil is determined from the engine speed Ne and the pump discharge pressure Po according to a map by making use of a change of flow resistance of the throttle 55 based on the viscosity change. A measuring device and a measuring method for the oil viscosity can be independently adopted for a normal engine.
