Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the occupation space for the external force such as a vacuum source and hydraulic pump by generating a desired hydraulic pressure without using a booster device which necessitates the external force, in the hydraulic booster effective for amplifying the hydraulic pressure such as in a brake hydraulic pressure circuit. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic booster is equipped with a boosting piston 3 and a limiting valve 16 which are accommodated into a common booster body 1. The boosting piston 3 is inserted airtightly into the stepped bore 2 of the booster body 1, and the large diameter edge close to an input chamber 22 communicates to the input hydraulic pressure supplied from a hydraulic pressure generating source, and the small diameter edge close to the first pressure chamber 23 communicates to the output hydraulic pressure supplied to an actuator, and is always urged to the large diameter edge side by a return spring 7. Further, the limiting valve 16 is incorporated into a communication passage between the input hydraulic pressure and the output hydraulic pressure, and receives the input hydraulic pressure in the direction for closing the valve and receives the output hydraulic pressure in the direction for opening the valve, and when the input hydraulic pressure reaches a prescribed value, the communication passage is closed.
