Abstract:

To provide a hydraulic circuit and main valves for an internal combustion engine capable of providing high responsiveness.

This hydraulic circuit for an internal combustion engine comprises a first main valve 60 supplying pressure oil to a boosting piston from a pressure oil source, a second main valve 61 discharging the pressure oil from the boosting piston, and one pilot solenoid valve 1 driving these main valves by alternately providing the pressure oil of the pressure oil source as pilot pressure to the main valves 60 and 61. The first and second main valves 60 and 61 are each provided with a housing 65, and a valve element 66 housed in the housing 65, and axially driven; and the valve element 66 has a poppet valve structure equipped, at a tip thereof, with a poppet valve 73 opening/closing a passage by contacting/separating to/from a poppet sheet 71 arranged in the housing 65.
