Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a hydraulic compsn. suitable for use as stock of a high strength inorg. molded body by incorporating a PVA polymer contg. a specified amt. of ethylene units into a compsn. consisting of calcareous powder and siliceous powder.
CONSTITUTION: A compsn. is prepd. by adding 30-200 pts.wt. siliceous powder to 100 pts.wt. calcareous powder or preferably further adding 2-30 pts.wt. reinforcing fibers and 4-70 pts.wt. aggregate, and 100 pts.wt. of the compsn. is blended with 0.05-15 pts.wt. PVA polymer having 1-24mol% ethylene unit content, a polymn. degree of 100-400 and a saponification degree of 60-100 to obtain the objective hydraulic compsn. Water is added to this compsn., molding is carried out and the resultant molded body is cured with steam under atmospheric pressure at 40-100°C or pressurized steam at 100-200°C for 3-24hr to obtain an inorg. molded body.
