To provide a hydraulic continuously variable transmission allowing the size in the radial direction thereof to be reduced by eliminating the need of bearings to be arranged on the outer periphery of a cylinder block, and a power transmission apparatus.
This hydraulic continuously variable transmission is provided with a first hydraulic device 100 and a second hydraulic device 200. A first valve hole 63 and a second valve hole 64 storing a first selector valve 66 and a second selector valve 76 for selecting the flow direction of hydraulic oil in a hydraulic closed circuit formed in the cylinder block 42 are formed in the cylinder block 42. An input shaft 21 and the cylinder block 42 are formed so as to be rotated in synchronism with each other, and the first plunger hole 47 and second plunger hole 57 of plungers 43 and 58 are formed parallel with an input shaft 21. A yoke 23 with a rotating sloped surface 51 of the second hydraulic device 200 is supported on the cylinder block 42 rotatably around the axis O thereof. The input shaft 21 is supported by tapered roller bearings 39 and 31 and needle bearings 38 and 12 on both sides of the cylinder block 42.
