To provide a hydraulic continuously variable transmission which enables operations of assembly to a housing to be easily performed with high positioning accuracy.
A hydraulic continuously variable transmission 10 includes a cylinder block 30, a plunger 40 for a pump, a swash plate 50 for a hydraulic pump, a plunger 60 for a hydraulic motor, a swash plate 70 for the hydraulic motor, and a transmission case 16. The swash plate 70 for the hydraulic motor includes a cradle 72 for a motor, and a swash plate body 74 for the motor, which is supported by the cradle for the motor. The plunger 60 for the hydraulic motor is brought into sliding contact with the swash plate body 74 for the motor in the state of being urged by a spring 61. When a wall surface 16a is not attached, movement of the cradle 72 for the motor is regulated by a stopper S comprising a ball bearing 80 and a protrusion 72d. In addition, when the wall surface 16a is attached, a gap is formed between the ball bearing 80 and the protrusion 72d.
