This hydraulic control device has a clutch means 10 which is freely coupled or released by hydraulic pressure and intermitting driving force transmitted from an engine, a shift means 20 connected to the clutch means 10 and having at least an advance range, a neutral range and a retreat range, a precharge means 35 for increasing the hydraulic pressure of the clutch means 10 up to coupling initial pressure by filling a hydraulic fluid when coupling the clutch means 10 from a release state and a control means 40 for filling the hydraulic fluid by controlling the precharge means on the basis of precharge time by calculating the precharge time for filling the hydraulic fluid on the basis of time for selecting the neutral range and the retreat range when selecting the advance range again by selecting the neutral range or the retreat range after selecting the advance range once.
