To provide a hydraulic control system which can responsively feed working fluid with a sufficient flow rate to an oil chamber in a continuously variable transmission when changed-speed operation of the continuously variable transmission is suddenly performed by causing no enlargement of configuration.
A hydraulic pump 22 delivers the working fluid to a hydraulic line 66 extending to a secondary pulley oil chamber 32c. An accumulator 28 accumulates the working fluid delivered from the hydraulic pump 22. A switching valve 64 permits or shuts off feeding of the working fluid from the accumulator 28 to the hydraulic line 66. The hydraulic control device feeds to the secondary pulley oil chamber 32c the working fluid to which the hydraulic pump 22 delivers and at the same time permits the switching valve 64 to feed the working fluid from the accumulator 28 to the hydraulic line 66 when decelerated operation at which the working fluid flows into the secondary pulley oil chamber 32c is achieved at above a predetermined transmission speed.
