To provide a hydraulic cylinder for a hydraulic elevator admitting easy inspection and repair even in a place with a narrow installing area and allowing easy processing and assembly.
The hydraulic cylinder is composed of a cylinder tube having at one end a bottom cover and at the other end a rod cover provided with a hollow hole, a piston rod having a peripheral surface with a major diametric and a minor diametric portion and an inside surface as a bottomed hollow hole and arranged so that the major diametric portion on the bottom cover side is supported slidably by the inside surface of the cylinder tube while the minor diametric portion on the rod cover side is supported slidably by the hollow hole in the rod cover, a tube installed upright from the bottom cover of the cylinder tube and positioned at the axis, and a tube piston accommodated tightly in the hollow hole in the piston rod and attached to the tip of the tube, and when a pressure oil is fed to the first space part consisting of the oversurface of the tube piston and the hollow hole in the piston rod, the hydraulic cylinder elongates.
