Abstract:
To provide a hydraulic cylinder capable of changing thrust at the specific portion of a stroke even with a simple structure at a low cost.
This hydraulic cylinder 3 is designed to drive a piston rod 32 as a moving member housed in a cylinder body 21 under the action of fluid pressure and has a pressure bearing area changing mechanism. This mechanism divides pressure working chambers R1 and R2 formed with the cylinder body 21 and the piston rod 32 into a plurality of small spaces r1 and r2 to the specific position of a stroke so that a pressure bearing area is changed by block members 38 and 39 for maintaining non-pressure bearing areas on the end faces of the piston rod 32 for a prescribed period.
