Abstract:
PURPOSE:To quickly and reliably pull back a friction pad after braking and to prevent unnecessary abrasion of the friction pad by providing an elastic member for keeping contact relationship with a back pressure applying member for applying back pressure to a pair of friction pads. CONSTITUTION:When at the time of braking, pressurized oil from a hydraulic master cylinder is supplied through an oil conducting hole 11d and a pressurized oil sucking return valve device 40 to a caliper cylinder chamber 11A, a caliper piston advances against tension of a tension coiled spring 31 and a friction pad 15 slides along a hanger pin 24 and a recessed portion of a pad stopper to be brought into contact with a disc plate Dp so that a caliper body is moved in direction of an arrow D by its reaction force. In this case, a stay 12 slide along a collar 8a and a pin bolt slides in an opening of a bracket 6. Therefore, the disc plate Dp is pressed in a clamping manner by friction pads 15, 19 to conduct desired braking.
