To provide a bearing that copes with vibration in an end clearance.
A thrust bearing system includes a fixed bearing housing; a movable bearing at least partially arranged in the bearing housing and movable between a first contracted position and a second elongated position; a fluid cavity formed between the bearing housing and a bearing cage; and at least one fluid passage extending through the fixed bearing housing and having a first end on the outer surface of the bearing housing, and a second end in fluid communication with the fluid cavity.
