Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic fluid which can reduce air entrainment sufficiently irrespective of variation in temperature, pH, and pressure; can exhibit excellent power transmissibility and damping force of a hydraulic fluid, and excellent lubricity, and the like; and can maintain a stable quality.SOLUTION: Provided is a hydraulic fluid comprising inorganic fine particles (A) and a hydrophilic solvent (B1) and/or a lipophilic solvent (B2), where the inorganic fine particles (A) are one obtained by surface-modifying hydrophilic inorganic fine particles (C1) with a lipophilic compound (C2). The inorganic fine particles (A) preferably have methanol wettability (M value) of 30 to 90.
