To provide a hydraulic forming method causing no forming failure by residual gas by surely eliminating gas such as air in a space in a material to surely prevent gas such as air from remaining in a space in a protrusion in a forming material when carrying out hydraulic forming such as hydroforming using the forming material having the upward projecting protrusion.
A hollow tube opened to the inside space of the protrusion in the material is inserted into the material from the outside of the material to fill a pressurizing liquid into the material. At this time, air in the protrusion in the material is ejected to the outside of the material through the tube. An elastic tube is used as the tube, and a floating body smaller in specific gravity than the pressurizing liquid is mounted to the tip of the tube so that the tip of the tube floats in a direction close to the upper bottom face of the protrusion as the pressurizing liquid is filled into the material.
