Abstract:

To predict the life of a hydraulic pump by detecting the sign of pump rupture before the hydraulic pump is ruptured.

The delivery pressure 122 of the hydraulic pump, an oil temperature 126, and drain filter pressure difference 120 are detected, a relation 128 between the filter differential pressure and the delivery pressure is obtained, and based on the relation, a typical filter pressure difference 130 under a specified typical delivery pressure is calculated. By correcting the typical differential pressure value 130 by an oil temperature-pressure differential correlation function, a corrected pressure difference from which variable components 132 resulting from the oil temperature 126 are removed can be obtained. The long term trend and the short term trend of the increase of the corrected pressure difference with time are calculated, and the sign of the pump rupture are detected and the life of the pump is predicted by using the degree of separation of the long term trend from the short term trend.
