Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic molding method of suspension members for cars which has no protrusion on the edge of the flange and has a good appearance quality of relatively smooth outline.
SOLUTION: A suspension member 1 is formed by swelling a laminated plate material 2 placed between the upper and lower molds using a hydraulic pressure. A indented part 11 is formed by advancing a presser 8 while the hydraulic pressure is rising, activating the pressure work on a part of a flange 7 and its vicinity, and forming a tip of the flange 7 (including a welded part 3) without protruding over an outer profile 13 of a general shape 10.
