PURPOSE: To reduce the outside diameter of a motor case and to block leakage of pressure oil, by which a brake piston is operated, through an oil passage.
CONSTITUTION: Annular brake members 31 and 36 are arranged on the inner peripheral surface 20a of a motor case 20 and the outer peripheral surface 23a of a cylinder block 23. The annular brake members 31 and 36 are brought into pressure adhesion on the inner surface 21a of an end cover 21 through an annular spring support member 32 through the force of a spring member 38. A brake piston 41 is attached to an end cover 21. An oil passage 43 through which pressure oil is fed to the oil chamber 42 of the brake piston 41 is formed in an end cover 21, and a piston 44 attached to the brake piston 41 is brought into contact with the annular spring support member 32.
