Abstract:
Disclosed is an operating oil composition for a buffer, which comprises a lubricant base oil and a viscosity index improver. The lubricant base oil contains saturated contents in an amount of 90 mass% or more, wherein cyclic saturated contents comprise 40 mass% or less of the saturated contents. The lubricant base oil has a viscosity index of 110 or more, and an iodine value of 2.5 or less. The viscosity improver is contained in the composition in an amount of 0.01 to 2.5 mass% in terms of a polymer relative to the total amount of the composition. The operating oil composition can achieve all of viscosity-temperature property, shear stability and defoaming property at high levels.
