Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent torque degradation due to oil leak by making communication with a high pressure chamber which communicates with the delivery port of a rotary valve, forming a storage hole communicating with low pressure chamber side for storage and forming a ball which opens the storage hole when oil pressure is in excess of a prescribed value.
SOLUTION: At the initial condition, differential rotational speed is low, and oil pressure is also low. Even if pressure oil passes through a high pressure passage 41 and a communicating passage 44 from the delivery port 14 of a rotary valve 11 and works on a ball 46, the ball 46 is kept seated on a valve seat 45 by a spring 48, so that oil will not be discharged from a drain hole 50, thus obtaining normal torque characteristics. When differential rotational speed becomes higher and oil pressure is in excess of a prescribed one, the communicating passage 44 opens. High pressure oil enters the storage hole 43 and discharged from the drain hole 50. The opening area of the drain hole 50 is set to the prescribed value, therefore, torque is controlled to a fixed value. It is thus possible to eliminate a seal at a clearance and prevent torque degradation due to oil leak.
