Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a coned disc spring to energize the clutch piston of a lockup clutch in a clutch ON direction display original spring characteristics, in a hydraulic power transmission and to improve its durability.
SOLUTION: In the hydraulic power in which transmission a clutch piston 19 of an lockup clutch L is disposed between a side cover 5 situated in a line to a pump impeller 2 and a turbine runner, the coned disc spring 33 to energize the piston hub in a clutch-on direction is mounted in a free deformation posture on the piston hub 19a of the clutch piston 19 slidably supported at a turbine hub 3a. A regulation means 45 to prevent excessive deformation of the coned disc spring 33 by regulating a moving backward amount to a specified value when the clutch piston 19 is moved backward in a clutch-off direction is situated between the clutch piston 19 and the turbine runner 3.
