To simplify the structure of a transmission and to miniaturize it by reducing the capacity of an oil pump, securing the hydraulic pressure required for speed-change operation by a clutch.
This hydraulic pressure supply mechanism 81, for supplying hydraulic pressure to clutches 11-15 of a speed-change mechanism TM to perform speed-change operation, includes: an operating fluid chamber 51, into which operating fluid is led from an oil pump OP; a pump 52 and a turbine 53 provided inside the operating fluid chamber 51; operating fluid inlets 70 and 71 provided on a rotating inner peripheral side of each of the pump 52 and the turbine 53; and a torque converter TC having an operating fluid outlet 73 provided on a rotating outer peripheral side. The hydraulic pressure of the operating fluid supplied from the oil pump OP to the operating fluid chamber 51 of the torque converter TC through the operating fluid inlets 70 and 71, increased with rotation of the pump 52 and the turbine 53, and discharged from the operating fluid chamber outlet 73 is supplied to the clutches 11-15 through a manual valve 106 or the like.
